Emma's Blessing Day
Hey Everyone! Well, This past Sunday we blessed Emma. It was amazing! We had so much family show up that we almost couldn't fit them in our apartment afterwards! She looked so cute in her blessing dress! I was afraid that it was not going to fit her!!

Emma's First Photo Shoot
We took Emma to JC Penny to get her pictures taken! I don't think she liked it as much as Ryan and I did. The lady kept waking her up and flashing lights and i think it was kinda annoying to her! But the pictures turned out really cute! (Well Ryan and I think so but we may be a little bias...)

Emma Catherine
WOW! As some of you already know we welcomed baby Emma Catherine into the world on Friday October 24th at 11:08 A.M. She weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces and measured 20 inches long!
It was Thursday night and we were supposed to be at the hospital at 12:00 A.M so that they could induce me... we were laying in bed trying to take a nap before we had to be at the hospital but no matter how hard we tried we could not sleep. We were too excited and nervous.
At about 11:30 we left for the hospital. When we got there we got all checked in and stuff (which took like a half an hour) and then they sent me upstairs to the room. When we got up there they filled out more paperwork and asked me a ton of questions and finally at 1:00 A.M. they hooked me up to the patosin (I don't know how to spell that) and broke my water... weirdest feeling in the world...
Well I had been in labor for about 7 hours when they brought in a breakfast tray. I was starving so i was pretty excited... but then they told me that it was for Ryan because they don't let you eat until after you deliver... man was i bummed... i was exhausted!
Another 2 hours later a bunch of nurses came in and started to set stuff up for the actual delivery. Then my doctor came in to see if I was getting close. At this point i was dying... I was in so much pain that i couldn't breath during my contractions, so i looked at the doctor and told him i didn't think i was going to make it and that he was going to have to give me the drugs... He looked at me and said "It's too late... We cant give them at this point..." I wanted to cry! (I'm actually glad now because i think i would have regretted it...)
After a few more min. (but what seemed like forever) I asked my doctor how much longer it was going to be and he told me it could still be anywhere from 20 to 30 min. until i could push and then another 20 to 30 min for that... Well about 5 min after he said that i started to push and about 10 min after that baby Emma was born...
They put her on my chest and let me hold her for a second before they took her to get cleaned up and it was quite possibly the most amazing feeling ever... I still cannot believe that my body could make this beautiful little girl!

Our Story!
Well for those of you who don't know this is the story of how Ryan and i met and such...
It all started on February 23, 2007. It was about a week after my 19th birthday and there was an 80's dance at UVSC. My roommate really wanted to go because she was meeting some friends from work and she begged me to go with her so i went (even though i was not sure if i really wanted to go). So we got all dressed up and went over to the school with a friend of ours named Ammon. When we got there we found my roommates friends and started to dance. After a little while my roommate and I noticed a guy (Ryan) standing there who had just happened to come to the dance to meet some of his friends (the same friends that my roommate had gone to meet). We danced and talked to him for a while and then we decided to leave because we were bored and we had been invited to a party by Ammon and some of his friends. Well we invited Ryan to come with us because he didnt seem like he really wanted to stay there either (He told me later that he really didn't wanna be there and that he only went because he had nothing else to do). Well when we got to the party people were drinking and so we left and decided to go get something to eat.
After we ate we all went back to my place to watch a movie. We didn't actually end up watching a movie, we just talked and hung out.
Well after that night Ryan and I saw each other every day for the next couple weeks or so. Then one night we were hanging out and Ryan broke the news that he was leaving for Iraq but when he told me this he also told me that he loved me... I didn't know what to say because i was not sure that i loved him back so i just stood there quietly (trying not to cry)... Well when i got home i just broke down and started crying. Talking with my roommate and stuff later that night, telling her what had happened, i realized that i really did love him too...
Well, he ended up not leaving and on May 23, 2007, almost exactly three months after we met Ryan proposed to me and i of course said Yes!
A little over three months later, on September 7, 2007 we were married and sealed for Time and all Eternity in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.
We are so happy and cant imagine life any other way!

Life is Crazy!
Well, Life just keeps getting more and more crazy!
I am now officially a Sunday widow (Those were the bishops words)!! Ryan just got called to be the executive secretary in the Bishopric and so that means he gets up and goes to the church before the sun comes up (about 5:45) and does not come home until after it goes back down (about 7 or 8)! It could make for lonely Sundays but luckily we have a lot of family around!
I guess its kinda a good thing that i don't mind spending time alone. Between his job, his calling and the army Ryan does not spend a lot of time at home! But i guess i just have to be happy that he has not gone to Iraq!

Well since this is the first post it may be a little longer than the ones to come.
As of right now Ryan and I have been married for a little over a year and we are expecting our first little one, a little girl, who we plan to name Emma Catherine (after her great great grandmother). We are just playing the waiting game at this point because she is due November 1, 2008 and could come any day now and we cant wait to welcome her into this world.
Ryan works at City Electric Supply which is a Electric wholesale company and he really likes it there. He does deliveries and sales and is learning a lot. He is getting ready to go back to school but has not decided what he wants to do.
I am not quite as exciting... lol I do not work or go to school right now because i plan to be a stay at home mom. I am really excited about that.
